Important Deadlines

  • Deadline for candidate nomination forms, bios and photos to be received at MSEA’s Annapolis headquarters.   November 23, 2009  5 p.m.

  • January 28, 2010
    Deadline for ballots to arrive in schools

  • February 26, 2010
    Deadline for receipt of ballots

  • March 13, 2010
    Results validated at MSEA


Nomination Form
Nominations may be made by any member using the official MSEA Nomination & Intent Form. Nominees must meet the qualifications for office as specified in the MSEA Bylaws, be willing to run for office and serve if elected. Administrators are ineligible for nomination for the MSEA-elected NEA Director positions, but can be nominated as delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly.

Biography Form
Submit one MSEA Election Biography Form for each office sought. Do not send a résumé. Submit original or high resolution digital color photo only. Photos will not be returned. Candidate information will appear in ActionLine, January, 2010, and on this website, www.marylandeducators.org.

Candidates submitting all application materials will appear first in alphabetical order. This must include:

1) photo;

2) biography; and

3) personal statement

Candidates who submit less information will follow alphabetically by category.
