Why I came to convention: “I became an educator because I like steady work and a steady income; you can't get either as an artist or a free-lance writer. I've stuck with it because I love it. Every day presents new challenges and changes, but there is still some familiarity. I came to convention the first year because my Local President threatened me with death and I came back because I had fun (shocking...I know!).”
