See everyone next year at the Maryland State Education Association Convention

Convention 2008 is over!! Exhaustion has sent in on everyone. A lot of items passed today. Lots of debate over student membership, mental health issues and providing services for our hearing/visually impaired members. All in all I think most people are looking forward to voting on November 4th. See everyone next year at the Maryland State Education Association convention.
The energy in the hall was intense

FINALLY!!!! We will be known throughout the country as the Maryland State Education Association. After many years of debate, all members will be recognized. No more debating, talking and wishing. The energy in the hall was intense.
Everyone had an awesome time at Seacrets last night. It was great to see so many people who work so hard, relax and let loose!!
Now we're on to new business items. One hour until lunch!
We need to pass Question 2

Delegates from all over Maryland are excited about the proposed name change for OUR Association. Governor O’Malley spoke to the assembly about the future of our state and education. We need to pass Question 2 to ensure our students as well as our educators have the funds that are needed to provide quality education. Everyone needs to vote tomorrow for the name change.
Looking forward to dinner at Seacrets!
